Public Affairs and Marketing Wins Triple Gold at Educational Advertising Awards
The Long Beach City College Public Affairs and Marketing Department was recently honored with multiple wins at the 35th Annual Educational Advertising Awards
Three gold, one silver and four awards of merit were captured by the LBCC department that faced competition from more than 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary schools from all 50 states and several foreign countries.
LBCC’s gold awards were earned for:
- The Campus Community Newsletter
- The New Viking Athletic logo
- A t-shirt designed for the Viking Summer Voyage program
The LBCC website also captured a silver award along with awards of merit for the Annual Report, the “Home of the Vikings” mailer, a newspaper ad regarding two free years at LBCC and for the poster designed for an LBCC theatre production of “The Crucible.”
More than 2,350 entries were received this year, making it the largest educational advertising awards competition in the country. Gold awards were granted to 294 institutions and silver awards were awarded to 201 institutions.
Judges for the Educational Advertising Awards consisted of a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals and the editorial board of Higher Education Marketing Report.
Higher Education Marketing Report has been the nation’s leading marketing publication for higher education marketing professionals, read by thousands of higher education marketing professionals for more than 35 years.
