The LBCC Art Gallery provides exhibitions and cultural programming that are not only relevant, but vital to our students’ academic, social, emotional, and cultural well-being. The exhibition’s held in the LBCC Art Gallery address issues of diversity, equity, access, and inclusion in a direct and meaningful way. Exhibitions, visiting artist lectures and panel discussions are organized to serve as a forum to engage with ideas that are critical to the social, political, and cultural lives of LBCC students, faculty, staff, administration, and the surrounding community.
The Long Beach City College Bakery & Bistro are operated by students in the Culinary Arts Department and are open to the public. Located in Building V, the Bakery & Bistro are part of a new instructional concept that includes instructional kitchens (restaurant, production, culinary skills, baking & pastry, multi-use, and demonstration), and LCD monitors for students to view faculty instruction close-up.

Welcome to the office of Student Affairs, where it is our mission to create, encourage and support a positive, collegial learning environment whereby the educational goals of students and the College are enhanced. Innovative and traditional programs, events and activities have been developed which foster the opportunity for personal growth through learning, leadership development, shared governance, healthy competition, volunteerism, social interaction, and cultural exchange.
Since capturing its first state title in 1928, the Long Beach City College athletic program continues to make a name for itself both locally and nationally. While academics remain a constant emphasis at Long Beach City College, the institution is proud of its athletic program’s success. To date, Long Beach City College has won 16 national titles, seven runner-up national titles, 89 state titles, and 50 state runner-up titles.
