She has previously held positions at the Hammer Museum, Chicago Architecture Biennial, Material Art Fair (Mexico City), and the Chicago Artists Coalition, amount others. Originally from Tijuana, Mexico she is a transfronteriza (Mexican/American) artist, educator, and curator. Her work as an arts administrator is driven by a desire to create pathways for artists of color of all ages. Her curatorial work includes “Fantasies and Fallacies” (2017), “Dual Vision” (2018) at the Mexican Center for Culture and Cinematic Arts (CCCM) in Los Angeles, featuring works by 35 LA-based Mexican and Chicanx artists under 35. 

Fantasies and Fallacies was an exhibition in conjunction with the Getty initiative Pacific Standard Time: Los Angeles/Latin America as well as MXLA2017: The year of Mexico in Los Angeles. She has curated projects at The Front Arte y Cultura, the Mexican Consulate General in Los Angeles, Craft and Folk Art Museum and the Hammer Museum. She holds a Bachelor of Art from the University of California Los Angeles and a Masters of Art in Art Administration and Policy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
