Kirk Canzano (a.k.a. The MetricMan) joined Long Beach City College’s Business Administration department as a full-time faculty member in the Fall of 1999. He is a Certified Public Accountant with many years of business experience. In addition to working in public accounting with Ernst & Young, he has held executive positions in large multinational companies spanning a variety of industries. His career background includes accounting, financial analysis, marketing analysis, financial planning, strategic planning, project management, and major information system implementations. 

Though his early experience was primarily “large” company, after transitioning to teaching, Kirk provided consulting services to small businesses and not-for-profit schools and churches. He is a master level Microsoft Excel enthusiast and instructor. He teaches classes in QuickBooks and has helped organizations get more from their financial database.

Kirk has been a valued instructor in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program for several years. He teaches with relaxed-intensity coupled with humor and wit to make the difficult topic of financial understanding non-threatening and valuable.
