Education and Background
My name is Mario Vargas, I started working at LBCC in 2014.  I obtained my BS in biochemistry at Cal State L.A and my MS and PhD in chemistry at UC Riverside.  I am passionate about teaching and helping students from all walks of life.  Teaching is something I have always loved and is something that I look forward to continue to do on this great and diverse campus.  Courses that I have taught are CHEM 2, CHEM 3, CHEM 12A and I will soon teach CHEM 1A.  Besides teaching, I also enjoy running to stay fit.  My heroes, besides my father, are Nikola Tesla and Juan Manuel Marquez.
