APID Heritage Month Kick-Off

The Kick-Off event is designed to open the month’s festivities/activities by bringing the campus community together in a celebratory fashion to enjoy food, music, entertainment, and curated resources.

Know Your Rights, Right Now!

Join us for a roundtable discussion exploring how we can better support our migrant and immigrant APID communities. This event will center the work of non-profit organizations who will share strategies for supporting undocumented students and employees, highlight local resources, and discuss collaborative approaches to more liberated futures for our APID communities. Click here for more details. 

MANA Idol

Date/Time: Thursday, May 8, 5pm – 7pm
Location: LAC, B-206A (SJIC)

Coordinated by the SJIC & Mana Program
Students, staff, and faculty will have the opportunity to participate in a friendly karaoke competition, either performing a song of their choice or singing just for fun! At the end of the event, those who wish to compete for a spot on the MANA Idol Trophy will be judged by an audience applause meter.

Sip N Paint

Date/Time: Thursday, May 15, 2pm – 4pm

The Sip N Paint workshop series is designed to provide the campus community with an opportunity to engage their creative sides while sharing space with good people. All participants are provided with a canvas, paints, and other materials to unwind while enjoying artistic expression, good company, food, and sparkling cider.

APID Cultural Show: Roots to Runway – A Cultural Celebration

Celebrate the vibrant diversity of the Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi communities at our APID Cultural Show, featuring a fashion show, live performances, student photographers, and community organization booths.
