Summer Session registration set to begin May 7

Press Release
The South Quad at Long Beach City College.

Due to the recent technical issues experienced at Long Beach City College, registration for the 2018 Summer Session has been pushed back to begin on Mon., May 7.

“The 2018 Summer Session will truly have something for everyone,” said LBCC Superintendent-President Reagan F. Romali. “LBCC will have hundreds of classes, including online courses, and four different Summer Session scheduling tracks will be convenient for any calendar. Our first priority has always been serving our students and we look forward to helping them and community members register for Summer Session on May 7. There will still be plenty of time for students to register for what will be a great offering of courses throughout the summer.”

Session dates will remain the same for all four Summer Sessions running between June 13 and Aug. 21. Two five-week sessions will run June 13 – July 17 and July 18 – Aug. 21, one six-week session will run June 18 – July 26, and an eight-week session will run June 18 – Aug. 9.

LBCC’s Summer Session is a great opportunity for students seeking affordable classes and flexible schedules. High school seniors can jump-start their college careers. University students can also make good use of the summer break with classes that count toward their bachelor’s degrees. Community members can advance in their current job or start a new career by earning one of the many degrees or certificates offered at LBCC.

Members of the public who are not currently enrolled at LBCC can apply now online at www.lbcc.edu and click on “Get Started.” Once enrolled, students can register beginning May 7 through June 12. Payments for classes are due June 5.

The original registration start date was Mon., April 23.
