The four-level facility, funded by local taxpayers who supported the college’s bond measures, adds 530 PCC-convenient parking stalls and encourages energy efficiency with 33 Electric Vehicle Charging Stations, 45 clean Air Vehicle parking spaces, rooftop solar panels and secured bicycle parking. An app in Android and Apple can be downloaded free to display real-time parking availability in the new structure. The project was completed ahead of schedule and $500,000 under budget. Signage on the new structure adds a much-needed identity-of-place for those passing by the renovated Long Beach City College Pacific Coast Campus.
