In your role as an Administrative Assistant Customer Support, you will interact with clients/customers to provide information in response to inquiries about an organization’s products and services. The primary function includes providing technical support directly to computer users or in support of computer networked environments. Students can expect to gain knowledge of customer service and IT skills for applications support as well as business communication strategies and operating system troubleshooting basics.

What does an Administrative Assistant Customer Support program entail?  

The Administrative Assistant Customer Support program provides students with a solid foundation in computer support for the business environment. Students will learn customer service and IT skills for applications support as well as business communication strategies and operating system troubleshooting basics.

What types of courses will I take in the program? 

You will take courses that cover topics like computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook), business communication, computer hardware and customer service.  

What kind of skills and knowledge will I gain from completing this program? 

By completing this program, you will gain the knowledge and skills needed to work as an Administrative Assistant, Customer Support Representative, Customer Service Representative (CSR), Help Desk Technician, and Support Specialist to name a few. 

Can I take courses online or do I need to attend in-person classes?

Our courses are scheduled online, hybrid and in-person.  

What kind of job opportunities are available after completing this program?  

After completing this program, you can work in various industries, such as healthcare, finance, education, and government. You can also work for individuals, small businesses, or large corporations.  

How long does it take to complete the program?

The program length will depend on several factors such as: your enrollment status (full-time or part-time), course load, and whether you choose to earn an Associate of Science degree or certificates.

Are there any prerequisites for enrolling in this program?

No, however, we have several courses with recommended preparation.  

Can I transfer credits from this program to a four-year university?  

Yes, you may be able to transfer credits to a four-year university, but it depends on the institution’s policies. 

How much does the program cost?

Yes, financial aid is available to eligible students. You can apply for grants, loans, or scholarships through the college’s financial aid office and by applying to FASFA.
