Comics & Animation
Animators have created some of the greatest films in history and the art form is only growing in popularity. Technology changes, but the core of being an animator stays the same. Future animators need to become masters of the art of understanding human movement and of observing and recreating the natural world.
At Long Beach City College we can start you on your path to a future as an animator or comic artist with our Comics and Animation program. Movies, TV shows, video games, and commercials all need artists and animators. Become an indie creator or find work in the industry as a 2D or 3D animator, Modeler, Comic Artist, Character Animator, Texture Artist, Storyboard Artist, or Background Artist. Our program teaches industry standard software for the creation of animation and comics. You will learn animation and layout, but also digital illustration and 3D modeling.
