LBCCD Board of Trustees to Meet Remotely on Mar. 25
The Long Beach Community College District Board of Trustees will hold their monthly meeting via remote video conference that will be live streamed starting at 5:30 p.m., on Wed., March 25, 2020. This meeting may be viewed online at www.LBCC.edu.

LBCC to Continue With Remote Instruction/Online Through the Spring Semester
LBCC is taking precautions to protect the campus community’s health in response to COVID-19
The Long Beach Community College District has determined that the remaining Spring 2020 Semester will continue through remote instruction/online only.
“The collective safety of our students, employees, and community must be considered first and foremost,” said LBCCD Board of Trustees President Vivian Malauulu. “We are resilient and will adapt to this new temporary normal for the sake of our loved ones by being vigilant with our efforts during this unprecedented time.”
LBCC Will Close to Students and Public Starting March 17
LBCC is taking precautions to protect the campus community’s health in response to COVID-19
Out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of students, faculty and staff, the Long Beach Community College District will close both the Liberal Arts and Pacific Coast Campuses to students and members of the public starting Tues., March 17.
This decision was made by campus officials in order to limit any transmission of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). No cases have been identified at either campus.
LBCC Announces Interim Superintendent-President
Former Executive Vice President Lou Anne Bynum returns to LBCC
The Long Beach Community College District (LBCCD) Board of Trustees has appointed former Long Beach City College Executive Vice President Lou Anne Bynum as Interim Superintendent-President. She will begin on Sat., March 14.
Long Beach Reads One Book at LBCC Postponed
In order to limit the transmission of Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Long Beach City College Foundation and Long Beach City College announced that the Long Beach Reads One Book event that was originally scheduled for March 19, 2020 with actor and author George Takei, will be postponed until Fall 2020.
It is anticipated that the new date will be announced in the next few weeks. Long Beach Reads One Book will work with Takei to reschedule the event.
